We stayed in a hotel last night, so Ritchie could paddle today with very little weight in the boat. Sorting gear last night was a palava, with things being lost and then found and trips back and forth to the car hunting for those lost brownies, tooth brush, etc.
I was surprised at how excited I felt waiting for Ritchie to arrive in Bowling. I’d just seen him 6 hours before! You can see his smooth, under-the-bridge manoeuvre in this video.
Its wonderful to see someone who is really good at what they do. I had wondered how the trolly wheels were carried and it all looks well planned. Since I did backpacking for 25 years, I know what it takes to make it look simple and easy. I am certainly impressed with your skill. goodluck with the weather.

Hi Wendy, what great support work. This site should be named OneManAndHisBoatAndHisVeryAbleAndAttentiveTeam! Picnic lunches, nights in hotels, M&S sandwiches – this is supposed to be difficult! But we will see what he is made of today when he really is OneManAndHisBoat.
